The Plan supports a coordinated and integrated approach to project planning and delivery by setting out improvements in phases over the next decade - or a program of works.
The program builds on projects already completed, such as more bus services to Kingston, Blackmans Bay and Huonville and park and rides at Huntingfield and Firthside, and projects started such as the Bridgewater Bridge. Additional projects will be planned and delivered in three phases and will consider:
- total network disruptions and impacts to commuters and visitors
- construction industry capacity and skills development
- urban and precinct renewal, housing and other major developments.
To facilitate the plan, we need to secure additional funding, as some projects are partially funded, and others have no funding yet. This includes needing funding for ongoing services and maintenance.
The projects below make up the program, which will keep Hobart moving now and into the future.
Information will be linked as it becomes available.
